Some beginnings, but mostly middles.

I'm Sophie a Yorkshire lass in my mid-30s, just kind of meandering through life and seeing what fits.

10 years ago, making things was what fit. I didn’t have a plan, I didn’t have a purpose and I certainly didn’t have a brand. I just liked playing with pretty things while I was bored at my office job.

I used to blog a lot too - I would write about where I'd been or what I loved and sometimes I would just write about how I felt... it was pretty cool - a few people sent me things to tell my readers about and I was even sent on some paid for trips to places like Paris and Amsterdam.

Blogging got kind of weird after that, though and I got caught up in how you should blog instead of just seeing what fit... so I fell out of love with it in the end.

A few years later and I’ve got a pretty good idea what mark I want to leave on the world now and I've reached my joyful 30s where thankfully I don’t worry so much about what people think anymore. My little creative hobby of making jewellery has become my full time job and I just love trying a bit of this and a bit of that and making people smile with my silly designs.

I believe we shouldn’t have to be afraid to be a little different, a little silly and a little more colourful so I want to share my stories with you - and I hope you'll share yours with me too.

So I'm going to start blogging again and seeing if it fits. I'm hoping to share some daft stuff that I get up to, encourage you to have a little silly fun if you're reading and show you how I cobble together my business day after day! Hah!
